On the diamond, division races are getting serious. Itawamba AHS blew past Corinth, 13-5, on Tuesday in a 1-4A baseball game (3:44), essentially locking the teams in a tie for first place. In 1-6A, Oxford took Game 1 against Tupelo, 8-2, and needs to win just one of the next two to claim the crown (6:51). And in softball, Kossuth added some intrigue to the 1-3A race with a 4-3 win over Booneville on Tuesday (8:55).
