The MHSAA basketball state tournament resumes Thursday in Jackson. Brad and Dalton spend this show previewing the big event.
A total of 20 teams from Northeast Mississippi are taking part (1:27). Among those are some defending champs, including Ashland’s boys in Class 1A (3:24). But now that Okolona is in 1A this year, it looks like the favorite.
In 4A, Corinth’s boys are playing extremely well but could be without leading scorer Tada Stricklen, who’s injured (5:44). Tupelo’s girls are a bit of a surprise entry (6:59), considering the personnel issues they’ve experienced.
The Blue Mountain girls are making their first ever trip to Jackson, while Tremont’s girls are back for the first time in 24 years (8:58).
Brad and Dalton also look at some key boys players to watch (11:24) and girls players to watch (15:07). And finally, they present Athletes of the Week (18:59).
