#293: Volleyball finals on tap; Tupelo alone in first – 10/19/22

The volleyball season wraps up this week in Starkville with the state championships, and Brad has previews of the three matches involving area teams – Ingomar, Belmont and Alcorn Central (1:37).

There’s plenty of football talk today, too. Tupelo is now in sole possession of first place in Division 2-6A after blanking Madison Central (4:59). The reason Tupelo is alone at No. 1? Oxford’s last-second win over Clinton (7:04). And in 3-1A, Hamilton remained unbeaten by edging West Lowndes (7:56).

Up next for Hamilton is Vardaman (9:32), which is also undefeated in division play. In a 2-4A showdown, Houston visits Ripley (12:09) with first place on the line. And in 1-4A, Corinth meets Shannon in a battle for second (13:45).
