Football season began last week, and Brad has recaps of some of the most notable games.

Tupelo looked very sharp in a 34-0 trouncing of Lafayette (1:25). QB Jeremiah Harrell was 24 of 26 for 290 yards and four touchdowns. Itawamba AHS rode the play of Isaac Smith – a.k.a. Mr. Everything – in a 35-28 victory against Amory (4:14). And Kossuth topped Baldwyn 20-6 as QB Jack Johnson rushed for three TDs (5:27).

There are a couple of big rivalry games this week. West Point will try to bounce back from a loss when it visits Starkville (6:32), and Booneville will host Baldwyn in the Skunk Bowl (7:39).
