Football season is sneaking up on us, but Brad and Dalton are keeping an eye on things.
On this week’s episode, the guys tell you what to expect from the Daily Journal’s annual football preview section (1:15). They also look at a couple of players who are expected to have big senior years. One of those is Oxford’s J.J. Pegues (2:50), who will play five positions this fall. He’s 6-foot-3, 270 pounds and is a matchup nightmare wherever he lines up.
Down the street at Lafayette, Randy Anderson enters his third year as the team’s starting quarterback (6:14). He’s always been a dangerous runner, but he’s worked hard to become a better passer.
Also on this episode, Brad looks at three teams he thinks could get back to their usual winning ways: Aberdeen (9:48), Amory (13:33) and Baldwyn (15:11).
There’s some baseball coaching news, with Trae Bain being promoted at Alcorn Central (17:37), and this week’s Shoutout goes to Nettleton golfer Riley Mayhew (19:14).
