On this episode, Gene Phelps takes a look at the Booneville girls (1:44), who won the 3A crown last year, while Blake Morgan assesses reigning 4A boys champion Corinth (8:08), which earned a big win over Shannon on Tuesday.

The guys also discuss Ripley’s boys (5:47) and review Tuesday’s game between Itawamba AHS and Mooreville (10:07).

Looking ahead, the first set of Daily Journal basketball rankings are due out Friday (12:30), and several big games are on tap this weekend. Among them are Booneville vs. Belmont girls (14:10) and the Tangle on the Trail lineup at Pontotoc (14:52).
