The softball season has come to an end, but the baseball playoffs continue to roll on.
On this episode, Brad and Dillon recap the MHSAA softball championships. Booneville won its first state title by beating Raleigh in the Class 3A finals behind the arm of Hallie Burns (1:12). In 1A, Myrtle also won its first title with a sweep of Stringer (4:18). And in 2A, Mantachie came up short against Lake (6:26).
On the baseball side, Tupelo knocked off division foe DeSoto Central in the third round (7:53), while Amory bounced back from a Game 1 loss to take down rival Nettleton (10:16).
Looking ahead, Lafayette and Saltillo will meet in the 5A semifinals (12:01); Booneville will battle Amory in 3A (13:13); Tupelo Christian tangles with Pine Grove in 1A (15:30); and Tupelo takes on an underdog role in 6A versus Madison Central (16:55).
